Jason Blake Obituary, Death; – An off-duty, South Mississippi police officer was shot and killed in what authorities are calling a murder suicide. Jason Blake was an officer with the McComb Police Department and had been in law enforcement for 16 years.
According to preliminary investigation, Blake was off duty when he responded to a call for help. While he was inside the home, another man, identified as Clay Paulk, forced his way in. Authorities say Paulk used a shotgun and fired on Blake and Nikki Wilson, a woman who was also inside the house.
He then used a handgun to take his own life. Wilson was taken to a hospital and is expected to make a full recovery. Paulk’s vehicle was recovered a short distance from the scene. He and Wilson had previously been in a relationship, according to authorities.
