Jared Aukerman Obituary, Death; – The individual who perished in a collision on Interstate 64 early Saturday morning has been named.
According to the Jefferson County Coroner’s Office, 27-year-old Jared Aukerman succumbed to blunt force injuries sustained during the incident. The crash occurred around 4 a.m. when Louisville Metro Police reported that Aukerman was driving at high speed on the Watterson Expressway and attempted to navigate a ramp onto I-64.
Authorities indicated that he lost control of his vehicle, collided with a barrier wall, and subsequently rolled over multiple times.
Firefighters assisted in extricating Aukerman from the wreckage before emergency medical services transported him to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead approximately one hour after the accident.
Officials confirmed that no other vehicles were involved in the incident.
