James N Thomas Obituary, Death; – The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office has confirmed the identity of the pedestrian who was tragically killed on Scottsville Road early Tuesday morning as 50-year-old James N. Thomas from Alabama.
Deputies arrived at the vicinity of Scottsville Road close to Mile Wood Road around 1 a.m. on April 15, following a report of a pedestrian being struck by a vehicle. Investigators have stated that a northbound vehicle collided with Thomas, who was on the roadway. He was declared dead at the scene.
Scottsville Road was briefly closed to facilitate the investigation but has now been reopened. The investigation is still in progress.
