James M Wilson,Adrianna Williams Obituary, Death; – A man from Tennessee, charged with the murder of four family members and the kidnapping of a baby, is set to make his initial court appearance on Monday following his indictment.

Austin Robert Drummond is anticipated to appear before a judge for an afternoon arraignment in the circuit court of Lake County, situated in rural northwest Tennessee.

On November 10, a grand jury indicted Drummond on multiple charges, including first-degree murder and aggravated kidnapping, related to the shootings that occurred on July 29. Prior to this, Drummond had pleaded not guilty in a lower court, where a judge determined that sufficient evidence existed for the case to advance to the grand jury.

Drummond faces accusations regarding the deaths of the infant’s parents, grandmother, and uncle, with the baby being discovered abandoned in the front yard of a residence in rural west Tennessee. A week-long manhunt for Drummond concluded on August 5 in Jackson, approximately 70 miles (115 kilometers) southeast of the site of the murders in Tiptonville.

Prosecutors have indicated their intention to pursue the death penalty should Drummond be found guilty of first-degree murder during the trial. An FBI agent testified at a September hearing that data retrieved from a cellphone belonging to Drummond indicated he was near a wooded area where the bodies, which had gunshot wounds and were covered with tarpaulins, were located.

However, Drummond’s attorney, Bryan Huffman, contended that no evidence was presented during the hearing to demonstrate that Drummond had actually shot any of the victims.

On the day of the shootings, law enforcement responded to a report of an infant being left in a car seat at a “random individual’s front yard,” approximately 40 miles (65 kilometers) from Tiptonville, according to the Dyer County Sheriff’s Office.

Subsequently, investigators in the adjacent Lake County reported the discovery of four individuals deceased from gunshot wounds in Tiptonville. The victims were identified as the baby’s parents, James M. Wilson, 21, and Adrianna Williams, 20; Williams’ brother, Braydon Williams, 15; and their mother, Cortney Rose, 38.

Drummond’s girlfriend is the sister of the infant’s grandmother.
