Isha Mishra Obituary, Death; – A ninth-grade student from Lewisville ISD has tragically passed away after being struck by a vehicle in Flower Mound on Tuesday, according to officials.

Officers responded to a collision at the intersection of Valley Ridge Boulevard and Browning Drive shortly before 4 p.m., as reported by the Flower Mound Police Department.

The driver, operating a 2020 Chevrolet pickup truck, was halted at the stop sign facing south in the 6000 block of Browning Road when the young pedestrian was struck while attempting to cross the street.

Authorities transported the pedestrian, a 14-year-old resident of Flower Mound and student of Lewisville ISD, to Medical City Denton Hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries, officials stated.

The victim has been identified as Isha Mishra, according to the Denton County Medical Examiner. Lewisville ISD confirmed her status as a ninth-grade student at Marcus High School in an official statement.

“We are profoundly saddened to confirm that a student from the Marcus 9th Grade Campus lost her life today in an auto-pedestrian accident off campus. Our thoughts are with the family during this extremely challenging time. In consideration of their privacy, we will refrain from disclosing further personal details. Our crisis counseling team is available to assist students and staff as they come to terms with this news. Any inquiries regarding the accident should be directed to the Flower Mound Police Department, which is overseeing the investigation,” stated Lewisville ISD.

The driver, a 60-year-old Lewisville resident who has not been identified, was not injured and remained at the scene, according to Flower Mound Police.
