Ibraheem Hull Obituary, Death; – Murfreesboro police on May 27 identified the 19-year-old pedestrian who died May 23 after being struck by a train as Ibraheem Hull of Murfreesboro.
Prior to releasing the victim’s identity, a Murfreesboro Police Department press release on May 23 said the 19-year-old man was hit around 1:32 p.m. on the railroad tracks at West Main and Overall streets.
“He was pronounced deceased at the scene by personnel with Rutherford County Emergency Medical Services,” the May 23 press release said. “The preliminary investigation reveals the man climbed through the box cars of a stopped train and tossed his bicycle onto the tracks. When he reached down to pick it up, another train traveling in the opposite direction hit him.”
The police department’s Criminal Investigations Division detectives are investigating. This is a developing story.
