Harmond Ulmer Obituary, Death; – A man lost his life on Sunday night during a confrontation that led to a shooting at a factory in Detroit, according to police reports.
Authorities from the Detroit Police Department responded to the scene located in the 13100 block of Artesian, where two individuals engaged in gunfire following a dispute around 11:32 p.m.
Detroit Manufacturing Systems has identified the deceased as Harmond Ulmer, an employee at the facility.
“We are deeply saddened and shocked by the incident involving Harmond Ulmer at our Detroit location on the evening of October 6. We extend our heartfelt condolences to his family and loved ones,” stated a company spokesperson. “The safety and well-being of our employees is our utmost priority.
We are fully cooperating with local authorities to provide all necessary information regarding this isolated incident that occurred between Mr. Ulmer and an employee of a third-party security firm.
“We recognize the potential impact of this event on our workforce, and we are offering grief counseling services to provide emotional support and guidance. As this investigation is ongoing, we will continue to work closely with the Detroit Police Department.”
Police have confirmed that the other individual involved has been detained, and the investigation remains active. Investigators have not disclosed any further details regarding the shooting.
