Glenn Abbott Obituary, Death; – Las Vegas Metro Police have identified the vehicle involved in a fatal hit-and-run incident involving a pedestrian.

The event took place on March 29, shortly before 8 p.m., at the intersection of McLeod Drive and Pecos. A vehicle struck a pedestrian and subsequently left the scene.

Authorities report that a van towing a trailer was recorded on surveillance footage after the incident. According to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD), the pedestrian, who was using a mobility device, was crossing the street when the driver failed to yield the right of way.

The pedestrian has been identified as 64-year-old Glenn Abbott. Reports indicate that Abbott was thrown across the intersection and was transported to the hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.

Las Vegas police have noted that this incident marks the 41st traffic-related fatality in 2025 to date. LVMPD is urging anyone with information to reach out at (702) 828-3786. Anonymous tips can also be submitted to Crime Stoppers at (702) 385-5555. The investigation remains ongoing.
