Ginger S. Hartson Obituary – A 44-year-old woman, identified as Ginger S. Hartson from Bellevue, tragically lost her life after being struck by a driver from Lacey last week on southbound I-5 in Pierce County, as reported by the Washington State Patrol.

According to troopers, Hartson was standing in a lane near the main entrance of Joint Base Lewis-McChord when the incident occurred at approximately 10:35 p.m. on August 26. She succumbed to her injuries at the scene.

The 32-year-old driver from Lacey, along with her 8-year-old passenger, did not sustain any injuries. The driver remained at the location and fully cooperated with the ongoing investigation, as stated by Trooper John Dattilo. Furthermore, it was confirmed that the driver was not under the influence at the time of the accident.
