Garrett Randall Pace Obituary, Death; – The motorcyclist who sustained critical injuries in a hit-and-run incident in West Jordan on Tuesday night has succumbed to his injuries, as confirmed by police the following morning.

The victim, 23-year-old Garrett Randall Pace, was reportedly hit by a dark-colored SUV at the intersection of 8600 South and Redwood Road.

A witness reported the collision around 8:30 p.m. First responders arrived promptly, and Pace was rushed to a nearby hospital. Unfortunately, he passed away shortly thereafter due to the severity of his injuries. “We offer our deepest sympathies to Garrett’s family,” stated West Jordan Police Detective Dirk Petersen.

Detective Petersen noted that the SUV fled the scene heading west on Gardner Lane and was last seen traveling north on 3200 South Haun Drive. As of Wednesday morning, March 26, the vehicle has not yet been located.

The SUV is described as a Chevy or GMC model from the years 2003 to 2006. Det. Petersen indicated that it likely sustained considerable damage to the passenger side, including the passenger mirror, running board, and side windows.
