Francisco Armando Correa Guerrero Obituary, Death; – The Merced County Sheriff Coroner’s Office has confirmed the identity of a pedestrian who was tragically struck and killed on a highway on-ramp in Merced County earlier this week as 36-year-old Francisco Armando Correa Guerrero.

According to authorities, the incident took place shortly after 8 p.m. on Monday, on a northbound on-ramp to Highway 99 in the City of Merced. A local woman driving a 2006 Ford Expedition was attempting to merge onto the northbound on-ramp from State Route 140 when her vehicle collided with the man, who was crossing the ramp, as reported by the California Highway Patrol (CHP).

Officer Eric Zuniga of the Merced area CHP noted that the man was dressed in dark clothing and that the lighting conditions in the vicinity of the collision were inadequate. The driver remained at the scene and fully cooperated with law enforcement, with no indications of intoxication observed. Authorities are urging anyone with information about the incident to reach out to CHP Officer Gabriel Bautista at 209-356-6600.
