Endia Denise Middleton Obituary, Death; – The Lewisville police have identified the individuals involved in the SWAT standoff that occurred last week at an extended stay motel.
The individual suspected in this case is 32-year-old Ilan Javun Carroll.
He faces charges of murder, unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon, and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon against a peace officer.
A mugshot for Carroll has not been released as he is currently hospitalized receiving treatment for his injuries.
The woman discovered deceased inside the motel room where Carroll was barricaded has been identified as 40-year-old Endia Denise Middleton. The Lewisville police responded to several 911 calls around 3 a.m. at the Budget Suites located off South State Highway 121 near Corporate Drive this past Thursday.
Upon arrival at the scene, the suspect exited a room in the L Building and began firing at the officers. According to police, the officers did not return fire initially and sought cover. The suspect then re-entered the room, which led police to request SWAT and armored vehicles.
