Elijah Ricardo Clunie Obituary, Death; – A resident of Canton, Massachusetts has been charged with the homicide of an individual at a barbershop in Boston on Labor Day.
Diamond Jose Brito, aged 32, was apprehended in Mattapan at approximately 7 p.m. on Thursday, as reported by the Boston Police. He is scheduled to be arraigned on Friday in Dorchester District Court for the murder of 20-year-old Elijah Ricardo Clunie, a resident of Dorchester.
The incident occurred at the Exclusive Barbershop and Salon on Washington Street in Dorchester, shortly before 1 p.m. on Monday, September 2, when Clunie and another individual were shot.
Both victims were swiftly transported to the hospital, where Clunie succumbed to his injuries. The other victim, whose identity remains undisclosed, is anticipated to recover, according to police statements made on Friday.
Authorities indicated that both individuals were patrons of the barbershop at the time of the shooting, which was determined not to be a random act of violence. Investigators noted that Brito was sought for multiple warrants related to the murder. Currently, no further details regarding the investigation are available.
