Eduardo Ramirez Obituary, Death; – The Collier County Sheriff’s Office announced on Sunday that a man from Collier County, who had been missing for over a week, has been confirmed deceased.
In a post on their Facebook page, the Sheriff’s Office indicated that a body, preliminarily identified as Eduardo Ramirez, was discovered by members of the Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission on Saturday, located a short distance south of the 97 Mile Marker in the Picayune Strand.
The Sheriff’s Office stated, “The investigation is ongoing, but at this time, his death does not appear to be suspicious.” Local law enforcement agencies, along with private citizens, conducted a search for Ramirez over a span of 10 days following his report of being missing.
Shortly after he was reported missing, the vehicle driven by Ramirez was found in a remote area off Beck Boulevard in East Naples.
Search efforts in that vicinity involved multiple units from the Sheriff’s Office, including aviation, mounted patrol, and K9 teams. Eduardo Ramirez, 64, from Golden Gate Estates, was last known to be traveling in a vehicle near Collier Boulevard and Magnolia Pond Circle at approximately 6:15 p.m. on August 29.
