Edroy McCormick Obituary, Death; – A man has died following a motorcycle collision in east Phoenix on Friday evening. Authorities from the Phoenix police department responded to an incident involving a motorcycle and a pedestrian near the intersection of 50th Street and McDowell Road at approximately 6:15 p.m.
Upon arrival, first responders discovered a critically injured individual, later identified as 36-year-old Edroy McCormick. He was transported to a hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
Investigators report that McCormick was not utilizing a crosswalk when he crossed McDowell Road and was struck by the motorcycle. The motorcyclist initially fled the scene but returned later during the investigation. According to police, there was no indication of impairment contributing to the accident, and no arrests have been made.
