Duwan Morgan Obituary, Death; – A teenager was shot and killed while engaged in video gaming in his bedroom last week.

According to the St. Louis County Police Department, 14-year-old Du’wan Morgan was struck by a stray bullet while playing video games in his bedroom.

Authorities reported that several individuals in the vicinity of the home were exchanging gunfire when Du’Wan was fatally shot.

Du’Wan succumbed to his injuries at the scene.

Neighbors are still coming to terms with the tragedy.

“I couldn’t believe it. I was shocked. Reality didn’t hit me,” Mary Glaser stated. “I cried, yes, because I can’t believe I’m in the middle of all this. To me, it was like a war zone that you get in a foreign country.”

Glaser mentioned that she was outside her residence on Wednesday night when she observed groups of people on the street. She reported hearing a gunshot, followed by several more, before individuals began to disperse.

Several nearby homes were left with bullet holes.

“The mother lost her son, and it’s a sad situation,” Glaser remarked. “The 14-year-old boy was not involved in any way. He’s just an innocent victim.”

Glaser expresses hope for justice for Du’wan’s family.

“They can run away from the police, but one thing they can’t run away from is God. And God knows all things. There’s justice going to happen. It may not happen today. It may not happen tomorrow, but you can’t do that. You just can’t do that and get by with it,” she added.

The investigation into the shooting is ongoing.
