Donald Ruf Obituary, Death; – Donald Ruf, 63, of Belvidere, is identified as the pedestrian killed Saturday in a crash on U.S. Route 20 east of Shattuck Road.
The Boone County Coroner’s Office identified Ruf Tuesday, saying an autopsy showed he died from injuries received in the crash.
The crash happened around 10 a.m. Saturday, June 28 and involved a semi. The area was shut down while authorities investigated the ‘major incident.’
The driver of the semi was not hurt and stayed on scene, according to the Boone County Sheriff’s Office.
