Derol Louis Del Rio Obituary, Death; – A man charged in connection with the fatal shooting of a 62-year-old individual in Oildale in April 2022 has been found guilty of murder and associated offenses, as reported by the Kern County Superior Court website.
Jarrut Justin Perrette, aged 41, was convicted of first-degree murder along with two counts related to the manufacturing or distribution of an assault weapon. On April 3, 2022, shortly after 4 a.m., deputies responded to a call regarding a potential shooting incident in the 300 block of Minner Avenue, located just south of Norris Road, according to the Kern County Sheriff’s Office.
Witnesses reported hearing gunfire, as stated by KCSO. Upon their arrival, deputies discovered Derol Louis Del Rio, 62, lying in front of a residence on Minner Avenue. Perrette was apprehended by deputies, who found him still present at the scene. The date for Perrette’s sentencing has yet to be determined.
