Denis Patrick Carmody Obituary, Death; – Charlotte County detectives have been conducting an investigation into a fatal shooting that occurred on Nasturtium Drive since Monday. Recently, they have identified a person of interest in connection with the incident.

Tiffany May, aged 37, has been designated as a person of interest following the shooting death of 63-year-old Denis Patrick Carmody, which took place outside his residence. The Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office reported that May was arrested on charges unrelated to the shooting.

Nevertheless, the CCSO indicated that she was found in possession of a firearm on the premises and provided law enforcement with a false identity. May is facing charges for possession of a firearm or ammunition by a convicted felon in Florida, as well as for providing false identification to a law enforcement officer.

She is currently being held at the Charlotte County Jail with a bond set at $100,000. Deputies have stated that the Major Crimes Unit of the CCSO continues to collect evidence and information related to the case.
