Davieon Talley Obituary, Death; – A total of three individuals were shot at an apartment complex in Painesville on Sunday evening, resulting in one victim succumbing to his injuries.

The deceased has been identified as Davieon Talley, an 18-year-old from Eastlake.

The other two victims, a 22-year-old man from Painesville and a 17-year-old boy from Painesville, are currently receiving treatment at University Hospitals Tri-Point Medical Center.

Their identities and medical conditions have not been disclosed.
The shooting occurred at the Jackson Towers Apartments located in the 200 block of W. Jackson St. at approximately 7:45 p.m. on Sunday.

According to Painesville police, an officer was present at the complex and was preparing to initiate a foot patrol when he heard several gunshots emanating from within the building.

The officer promptly alerted Central Dispatch and requested additional assistance.

The officer located the 22-year-old victim at the north entrance and immediately applied pressure to his wounds in an effort to control the bleeding.

The 17-year-old victim was discovered in a vehicle attempting to flee the scene.

Talley was found in a stairwell.

“Our thoughts and prayers are with the Talley family during this difficult time following the loss of their son,” stated the Painesville police.

Painesville police further stated that there is no ongoing threat to residents, staff, or the community.
