David Rea Obituary, Death; – A resident of Rosemount lost his life on Saturday following a collision with another motorcyclist in Rock Elm Township, Wisconsin, as reported by the Pierce County Sheriff’s Office in a media statement.

The deceased has been identified as 54-year-old David Rea, who was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident. The other motorcyclist involved, 48-year-old Shawn Stuttgen from Eagan, was airlifted to Mayo Hospital in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, with injuries that have yet to be assessed.

Patrol Lieutenant Andrew Thoms indicated that there were no updates regarding Stuttgen’s condition as of Monday. Rea was operating a 2013 Harley-Davidson motorcycle westbound on Wisconsin 72 around 4:30 p.m. when he collided with Stuttgen’s motorcycle near County Road S in Rock Elm Township. Thoms noted that both riders were traveling together prior to the incident.

The investigation into the crash is still in its preliminary stages, but Thoms mentioned that it appears one motorcycle may have “turned into the other motorcycle.” The Pierce County Sheriff’s Office received assistance at the scene from the Spring Valley Fire Department, Elmwood Fire and EMS, and Baldwin EMS.
