David L. Davis Obituary, Death; – A head-on collision in Blount County on Sunday resulted in the death of one individual and injuries to two others.
On Monday, Alabama State Troopers identified the deceased as David L. Davis, a 64-year-old resident of Cullman. The incident occurred at 5:50 p.m. on U.S. 278, close to Pearman Road, approximately four miles east of Snead.
According to Senior Trooper Brandon Bailey, Davis was operating a Ford F-150 when it collided head-on with a Mazda 3 driven by 20-year-old Adam Schotti from Gadsden. At the time of the accident, Davis was not wearing his seat belt and was subsequently transported to St. Vincent’s Blount, where he succumbed to his injuries.
Cindy Davis, aged 60 and a passenger in Davis’s vehicle, was also taken to St. Vincent’s Blount, although the extent of her injuries has not been disclosed. Schotti sustained injuries as well and was airlifted to UAB Hospital in Birmingham. The investigation into the incident is currently ongoing, as reported by the troopers.
