David Brantley,ayvon Andrews Arrested; – Two individuals, both aged 18, were apprehended following an alleged carjacking incident involving a firearm on Sunday evening, according to the Chicago Police Department.

The incident reportedly occurred around 8 p.m. in the 800 block of W. Blackhawk, located in the Goose Island area, where a 25-year-old man was carjacked at gunpoint. Illinois State Police reported that the blue Toyota Camry, which was purportedly stolen, was spotted traveling southbound on I-94 near 71st Street.

A pursuit ensued until the Toyota collided near the intersection of 87th Street and State Street, as stated by ISP. The two suspects attempted to flee on foot but were subsequently apprehended.

The suspects have been identified by Chicago police as David Brantley, 18, from Hazel Crest, and Tayvon Andrews, 18, from Chicago. Brantley faces four felony charges, including vehicular hijacking, aggravated fleeing, possession of a stolen vehicle, and a misdemeanor charge for resisting arrest.

Andrews is charged with two felony counts for vehicular hijacking and possession of a stolen vehicle, along with a misdemeanor for resisting arrest. Both individuals were scheduled to appear in court on Monday. The investigation is ongoing, involving both the Chicago Police and the Illinois State Police.
