Cristhian Eduardo Carvajal Saldana Obituary, Death; – A pedestrian was fatally injured in a hit-and-run incident on Interstate 95 in Greenwich early Sunday morning, prompting state police to search for the vehicle potentially involved. Troopers arrived at I-95 South near exit 3 around 4:30 a.m.
following reports of a dangerously disabled vehicle. During their response, they learned that a pedestrian had been struck by a vehicle on the roadway. According to investigators, the pedestrian was standing in the left lane when a vehicle approached, collided with him, and continued southbound to flee the scene.
The pedestrian, identified as 30-year-old Cristhian Eduardo Carvajal Saldana from New York, was declared dead at the scene. Authorities noted that the vehicle involved in the incident suffered minor damage, including a detached driver-side mirror housing, a detached front driver-side bumper component, and a detached front driver-side wheel trim. State police suspect the vehicle is a gray or silver Ford Transit Van manufactured between 2015 and 2018.
