Courtney Thomas Obituary, Death; – A 52-year-old man has been charged with second-degree murder after a man was killed in St. Catharines on Thursday, Niagara Regional Police say. Police say they were called to the area of Niagara Street and Church Street just before 10 p.m. for a stabbing.
When emergency crews arrived they found a male with life-threatening injuries. Police say the victim was transported to an out-of-region hospital where he was pronounced dead. Late Friday police identified the victim as 57-year-old Courtney Thomas of St. Catharines.
According to police, the 52-year-old man was quickly identified and arrested. The accused is being held in custody pending a bail hearing on Friday. Anyone with information is asked to contact homicide detectives with the Niagara Regional Police Service at 905-688-4111.
