Clayton D Lenier Obituary, Death; – A shooting incident on Interstate 80 near New Lenox resulted in one fatality on Monday night. Illinois State Police arrived at the scene around 5:30 p.m. at the westbound exit ramp leading to Interstate 355, where they discovered an individual with a gunshot wound. The victim was subsequently transported to a nearby hospital, where they were declared deceased. The Will County Coroner’s Office identified the victim as 30-year-old Clayton D. Lenier from Joliet.
Authorities from the Illinois State Police reported that one individual has been apprehended in relation to the shooting. As law enforcement conducted their investigation, the area surrounding the I-80 exit ramp was temporarily closed to the public.
