Christopher Brown Obituary, Death; – Authorities in Trinidad and Tobago are conducting an investigation into the suspected murder of a man from Colorado, who was discovered with numerous stab wounds while vacationing. The deceased has been identified as Christopher Brown, hailing from Silverthorne in Summit County, and a suspect is currently in custody.
As per police reports, Brown was dining at a restaurant in Castara, a coastal village in Tobago, with friends on November 26. Following dinner, the group proceeded to another restaurant and bar for drinks; however, Brown departed, informing his friends that he was “going to buy weed.”
At approximately 10:35 PM that evening, law enforcement responded to a report regarding an unmoving body and located Brown. He had sustained multiple stab wounds, and what is believed to be the murder weapon was found lodged in his back.
The Tobago Department of Tourism expressed in a statement that it is “profoundly saddened and deeply disturbed by the tragic murder.” They also indicated that they are maintaining close communication with the authorities and are offering support to the family that remains on the island.
