Charles Rempel Obituary, Death;- The Edmond Police Department identified a bicyclist who was killed after being struck by a driver on Tuesday morning near a busy intersection.
The crash happened shortly before 7:30 a.m. near Broadway and Covell. A preliminary investigation showed that the bicyclist was crossing Covell at the crosswalk when he was hit by a car trying to turn southbound.
The bicyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. The Edmond Police Department identified the victim as Charles Rempel, 75, of Edmond.
According to police, Rempel was wearing reflective gear at the time of the crash.
The driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with investigators. Police said he will not be arrested.
