Chad A Ribando Obituary, Death; – An investigation is currently in progress following the fatal incident involving a pedestrian who was struck by a vehicle in St. Helena Parish early Wednesday morning. The Louisiana State Police have identified the deceased as 43-year-old Chad A. Ribando from Tickfaw.
Preliminary findings indicate that a 2017 Dodge Charger was heading east on LA Hwy 16 at approximately 4:40 a.m. Simultaneously, Ribando was walking in the eastbound lane of the same highway. The circumstances leading to the collision, in which the Dodge struck Ribando, are still being examined.
Ribando, dressed in dark clothing, suffered critical injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Dodge, who was wearing a seatbelt, did not sustain any injuries. As part of the investigation, standard toxicology tests have been conducted on both Ribando and the driver of the Dodge for further analysis.
