Carrie Shobe Kwok Obituary, Death; – Authorities have confirmed the identity of the woman who was fatally shot on Wednesday evening in the Lowertown area of St. Paul. Carrie Shobe Kwok, a 66-year-old resident of St. Paul, was reportedly kneeling in the street engaged in an art project when a man opened fire on her.
The alleged shooter, identified by family as 29-year-old Seantrell Murdock, was located at a residence in Belle Plaine. While St. Paul police were monitoring the location on Thursday morning, Murdock exited the home armed, prompting two officers to discharge their weapons. He was subsequently airlifted to Hennepin County Medical Center but succumbed to his injuries.
Kwok was an active member of the Lowertown Lofts Artists Cooperative, where fellow artists described her as a cherished individual. They characterized her as a “really sparkly person” who had a passion for textiles and was eagerly anticipating her participation in what would have been her second art crawl.
“Our community is in shock and grief as we grapple with the unimaginable,” the cooperative expressed in a social media statement on Wednesday.
