Carlos Zamora Obituary, Death; – The Lake County Coroner’s Office has confirmed the identity of a 37-year-old man who lost his life in a single-vehicle rollover accident near Antioch.

Carlos Zamora, a resident of Wauconda, succumbed to his injuries on Monday afternoon following the incident that occurred at the intersection of West Grass Lake Road and Broadway Avenue in unincorporated Antioch, as stated in a news release from the Lake County Coroner’s Office.

Deputies arrived at the scene of the accident around 1:10 p.m. and discovered a severely damaged GMC Sierra. Bystanders assisted in extricating Zamora from the vehicle, and he was subsequently transported to Advocate Condell Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.

Initial investigations indicate that the GMC was traveling west on West Grass Lake Road when it veered off the roadway, struck a utility pole, and subsequently rolled over. Preliminary autopsy findings reveal that Zamora died from blunt force trauma sustained during the crash. The investigation into the cause of the collision is ongoing.
