Camera Clay Obituary, Death; – Authorities have reported the arrest of a suspect in connection with a quadruple shooting and robbery that occurred on the northeast side of Indianapolis in February.

The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department has taken into custody 21-year-old Christopher Highbaugh. He faces charges of two felonies: one for murder and another for robbery that resulted in serious injury.

On February 18, four men sustained injuries from a shooting that took place in a residence located in the 3500 block of Wallace Avenue. Two men were shot inside the home, including 20-year-old Camera Clay, who was pronounced dead at the scene, while another individual was transported to the hospital in critical condition. Additionally, police discovered a third man in critical condition behind a house across the street, and a fourth individual was located east of the crime scene.

Law enforcement officials uncovered a “large amount of narcotics” within the residence and reported that multiple suspects fled the scene on foot. Neighbors who spoke with News 8 indicated that they heard approximately 30 to 35 gunshots in what is typically a quiet neighborhood.

During the course of the investigation, the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department identified Highbaugh as a participant in the shooting. He was apprehended on Thursday in the southwest area of Indianapolis.

Highbaugh is scheduled for his initial hearing on Wednesday, June 17.
