Bradley Blunt Obituary, Death; – A man has lost his life and two individuals, including a toddler aged 2, have sustained injuries following a shooting incident in Hammond on Monday, May 12, as reported by the Hammond Police Department.
The HPD indicated that officers responded to a report of gunfire in a parking lot located at 1001 North Morrison Blvd. at approximately 2:48 a.m., where they discovered a 23-year-old, a 22-year-old, and a 2-year-old child. They were transported to a medical facility, where the 23-year-old, identified by authorities as Bradley Blunt, subsequently succumbed to his injuries. The injuries sustained by the 22-year-old and the toddler are currently deemed non-life-threatening, according to police.
The HPD has identified 23-year-old Janvourian Franklin as a suspect, who has been apprehended and is facing charges of first-degree murder, three counts of attempted first-degree murder, and illegal discharge of a firearm. Additionally, Hammond police have arrested 20-year-old Demetriane Anderson, reportedly Franklin’s sister, in connection with the incident following further investigation.
Anderson is facing charges of principal to first-degree murder and three counts of principal to attempted first-degree murder.
