Augustin Espinosa Obituary, Death; – Dallas Police have identified both the suspect and the victim involved in a homicide that occurred on Saturday afternoon in the Love Field area of Dallas.
Authorities were summoned to the 4400 block of Maple Ave shortly after 2:30 p.m. following reports of a shooting.
Upon their arrival, they discovered 44-year-old Augustin Espinosa unresponsive, suffering from a gunshot wound. Dallas Fire-Rescue subsequently arrived, and police reported that the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
The suspect, identified as 43-year-old Robert Simmons, was apprehended in the vicinity. However, police did not disclose the specific location of his arrest.
Simmons is currently facing charges that include deadly conduct discharge firearm, possession of a controlled substance, and violation of bond conditions. He is being held at the Dallas County Jail with a total bond set at $2,000 for the possession charge and the bond violation.
