Ashtin Fletcher Obituary, Death; – A shooting incident in North Omaha resulted in one fatality and another individual in critical condition early Sunday morning.
According to police reports, the shooting occurred near the intersection of 62nd Street and Camden Avenue at approximately 2:30 AM on Saturday.
Upon their arrival at the scene, law enforcement discovered a deceased male lying in the street.
In a subsequent update on Sunday morning, the Omaha Police Department (OPD) identified the deceased as 19-year-old Ashtin Fletcher. Further inquiries revealed that another victim, a 20-year-old male, was transported to Nebraska Medicine with injuries that are not life-threatening.
“It’s a large scene. It’s still an active scene. We have investigators out,” stated OPD Lt. Jose Nava during an interview with First Alert 6. The OPD has confirmed that the investigation is still in progress.
