Anna Catullo Obituary, Death; – An 82-year-old woman from Massachusetts passed away on Monday following a tragic vehicle collision in Southeast.

According to Putnam County Sheriff Kevin J. McConville, Anna Catullo, aged 82, from Shrewsbury, Massachusetts, was operating a Honda CRV in a southbound direction on John Simpson Road when she veered across the double yellow line and collided head-on with an Isuzu box truck traveling northbound at approximately 8:30 a.m.

The impact resulted in Catullo being pronounced dead at the scene. The box truck driver, Xavier Quindetenempaguy, 45, from Carmel, was taken to Danbury Hospital to receive treatment for injuries that were not life-threatening.

John Simpson Road was closed between Root Avenue and Route 6 while the New York State Police and Putnam County Sheriff’s Office conducted their investigation, with the road reopening around noon the same day.
