Angela Hester Obituary, Death; – Troopers have confirmed the identities of a couple who tragically lost their lives in a collision on I-15 in Box Elder County last week.

Angela Hester, aged 41, was pronounced dead at the scene, while her husband, Michael Hester, aged 35, succumbed to his injuries the following day in a hospital, according to the Utah Highway Patrol. The couple hailed from Washington state, although their specific city of residence has not been disclosed.

The pair was traveling southbound in a Toyota Prius around 10 p.m. on November 26 when their vehicle collided with a concrete barrier on the left shoulder, ultimately coming to a stop sideways on the roadway south of Willard, as reported by the Utah Highway Patrol. The initial incident is believed to have been influenced by adverse weather and roadway conditions.

Following the crash, the driver exited the vehicle while the passenger, the woman, opened her door but remained inside. Subsequently, a Ford Expedition traveling on I-15 struck the man and the Prius head-on, impacting the front passenger side where the woman was seated, resulting in her immediate death and leaving the man critically injured.

According to the Utah Highway Patrol, the occupants of the Expedition did not sustain any injuries in the incident.
