Amber Knowles Obituary, Death; – A 33-year-old woman, identified as Amber Knowles, formerly of Mundelein, was tragically struck and killed by a pickup truck on Wednesday night near the intersection of Delany Road and Sunset Avenue in Gurnee.
Authorities reported that Knowles was discovered unresponsive around 8 p.m. and was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Ford E450 remained at the location following the incident and is cooperating with the investigation, according to police.
Initial autopsy findings from the Lake County Coroner’s Office indicated that Knowles succumbed to blunt force injuries sustained in the collision.
The Gurnee police, along with the Major Crash Assistance Team, are currently conducting an investigation into the incident.
