Allyn Duane Ellinghuysen Obituary, Death; – Allyn Duane Ellinghuysen, a 71-year-old resident of Winona County, has been confirmed as the driver who lost his life in the crash that occurred on Wednesday. As reported by the Winona County Sheriff’s Office, Ellinghuysen was heading south on County Road 25 when his vehicle veered across the center line and entered a ditch.
Chief Deputy Jeff Mueller of the Winona County Sheriff’s Office stated that the vehicle struck an embankment, resulting in it becoming airborne and rolling over multiple times. He noted that Ellinghuysen was ejected from the vehicle.
Mueller indicated that attempts were made to save his life; however, Ellinghuysen was declared dead at the scene. He also mentioned that it is believed Ellinghuysen may have experienced a medical issue prior to the incident.
