Agustin Hernandez,Jay Weber Obituary, Death; – On Friday, the Los Angeles Police Department disclosed the identities of two officers involved in the deadly shooting of a 56-year-old man, who reportedly swung a metal chain at both passing vehicles and pedestrians.
The officers have been named as Agustin Hernandez and Jay Weber, as per the LAPD’s announcement.
Hernandez holds the rank of Officer II, while Weber is classified as Officer III, which denotes a greater level of responsibility according to the department’s hierarchy.
Approximately at noon on Tuesday, officers from the Southeast Division of the Los Angeles Police Department responded to a radio dispatch regarding a suspect armed with a deadly weapon in the vicinity of Kalmia and 103rd streets.
Upon their arrival, the suspect failed to comply with the officers’ commands to surrender, as reported by the police.
Detectives later identified the suspect as Hugo Polanco on Wednesday, noting that he was “using wires as a whip and attempting to strike pedestrians,” according to police reports.
