Donald Krier,Tabitha Ward Obituary, Death; – The Kansas Highway Patrol is conducting an investigation into two separate accidents that resulted in the deaths of three individuals on Tuesday. The ages of the victims range from 17 to 83 years.

The first incident occurred shortly before 3 p.m. on U.S. Highway 54, situated between Greensburg and Mullinville. According to troopers, 83-year-old Donald Krier from Hugoton was operating his Ram pickup in a westbound direction when he veered across the center line.

Seventeen-year-old Tabitha Ward, hailing from Stratford, Texas, was driving a Ford F150 towards him. The Kansas Highway Patrol reports that Ward attempted to evade the collision, but the two trucks collided head-on, resulting in a fire. Both individuals succumbed to their injuries at the scene.

The second fatal incident took place just before 9 p.m., a few miles south of Hays. The Kansas Highway Patrol indicates that 40-year-old Brandon Frick, also from Hays, was driving his Toyota pickup southbound on U.S. Highway 183 when he crossed the center line and collided with a semi-truck traveling northbound. Frick was pronounced dead at the scene. The 34-year-old driver of the semi, a resident of Colorado, sustained no injuries.
