Felipe U Silva Obituary, Death; – A pedestrian has lost his life after being hit by a pickup truck in east Midland. According to a press release from the city, Midland police were dispatched to the scene of a vehicle-pedestrian collision at the intersection of Lamesa Road and Wall Street around 10:40 p.m. on Saturday.
A man operating a 2007 GMC pickup was heading north in the outer lane of the 100 block of South Lamesa Road. As he neared the intersection with Wall Street, he was unable to avoid colliding with a male pedestrian who was in the center lane.
The pedestrian was declared dead at the scene and has been identified as Felipe U. Silva, 56, on Monday. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
