Breanna George Obituary, Death; – Winnipeg police have confirmed the identities of both the victim and the suspect involved in a fatal stabbing that occurred on Monday evening.
Authorities responded to a call at an apartment located on Furby Street at approximately 5:35 p.m., where they discovered a woman suffering from severe injuries. She was transported to the hospital in critical condition but unfortunately succumbed to her injuries.
The victim has been identified as 21-year-old Breanna George, who was residing in Winnipeg at the time of her death, although she was originally from Ontario’s Anishinaabeg of Naongashiing / Big Island First Nation. A second woman was apprehended in the same apartment complex and has been charged with second-degree murder and robbery, according to police reports.
