Harlan Cuklanz Obituary, Death; – Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan and Arlington Police Chief Julie Flaherty have confirmed an ongoing investigation into a fatal crash that occurred Tuesday, Nov. 26, at the intersection of Mass. Ave. and Dundee Road in Arlington Heights, near the shopping area that includes Trader Joe’s.
The preliminary investigation suggests that, at approximately 6 p.m., a pedestrian – later identified as Harlan Cuklanz, 85, an Arlington resident – was crossing Mass. Ave. when he was struck by the driver of a Toyota Prius traveling eastbound. The driver, a 47-year-old Lexington man, remained on scene. Cuklanz was transported to Lahey Hospital where he later died.
This is an active and ongoing investigation being conducted by the Middlesex District Attorney’s Office, Arlington Police and the Massachusetts State Police Collision Reconstruction and Analysis Section.
