Julian Shaun O Donoghue Obituary, Death; – A man who lost his life in a collision on Thanksgiving morning in Rancho Cordova, which also resulted in injuries to two other individuals, has been named.

Julian Shaun O’Donoghue, a 20-year-old native of El Dorado Hills, succumbed to injuries sustained in a head-on crash involving a sedan and a van on Grant Line Road, south of Chrysanthy Boulevard, as reported by the Sacramento County Coroner’s Office.

The Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office indicated that two other individuals sustained serious injuries in the incident, which occurred when one vehicle allegedly veered into the opposing lane. O’Donoghue was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities have not yet determined whether drugs or alcohol were factors in the crash. Following the incident, roads were closed for approximately six hours before being reopened.

The traffic unit of the Rancho Cordova Police Department is conducting an investigation into the matter. O’Donoghue was a football player at Oak Ridge High School and graduated in 2022, as noted in a GoFundMe campaign reportedly established to assist his family with expenses arising from his untimely passing.
