Rodolfo Daniel Lima Obituary, Death; – A man who reportedly discharged a firearm towards deputies in Cumberland County was shot and killed during the night.
The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation has announced that it is looking into the events surrounding a fatal shooting that occurred at a residence on the 100 block of Scott Creek Road early Saturday morning, involving a deputy from the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office, which resulted in one individual succumbing to a gunshot wound.
Deputies arrived at the location in response to a report of shots fired. Upon arrival, they encountered a man in the driveway who was armed with a handgun and allegedly failed to comply with multiple commands to lower his weapon.
According to initial reports, the individual fired his weapon towards the deputies, as stated by the TBI. In response, a deputy returned fire, striking and killing the man. The TBI has identified the deceased as 22-year-old Rodolfo Daniel Lima.
