Jose Guillermo Gamero Obituary, Death; – Authorities have identified the individual who passed away on Sunday afternoon following a motorcycle collision with a minivan in the City of Socorro.
City officials report that 65-year-old Jose Guillermo Gamero succumbed to injuries sustained when his light blue 2003 Harley Davidson motorcycle collided with a maroon 2008 Mazda MA5 minivan.
Investigators are currently working to determine the circumstances surrounding the accident. Preliminary findings suggest that the minivan was traveling on Lisa Diane Road and was struck by Gamero’s motorcycle as it attempted to turn onto Socorro Road. The minivan’s driver, a 52-year-old woman, along with three passengers—a 38-year-old woman and two minors—sustained no injuries.
According to the Socorro Police, it appears that Gamero was not wearing a helmet at the time of the incident. Anyone who witnessed the crash or possesses further information is urged to contact the Socorro Police Department at 915-858-9237.
