Loretta Canter-Andrews Obituary, Death; – Authorities in Prince George’s County have confirmed the identity of the woman who was fatally struck by a vehicle in Accokeek on Friday evening.

On November 22, at approximately 9:50 p.m., law enforcement officers were dispatched to the intersection of Indian Head Highway and Farmington Road in response to a report of a collision involving a pedestrian.

Upon arrival, they discovered Loretta Canter-Andrews, a 40-year-old resident of Accokeek, lying in the roadway with severe injuries. Unfortunately, she succumbed to her injuries at the scene.

Investigators have determined that the driver, who fled the location, collided with Canter-Andrews while traveling in the northbound lanes of Indian Head Highway. As of Monday morning, authorities are actively seeking to identify the driver responsible for the incident.

Police are urging anyone with relevant information to contact the Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit at 301-731-4422.
