Mark Lane Obituary, Death; – Nearly two weeks following the discovery of a deceased individual, the Ahoskie Police Department has announced the arrest of two suspects in connection with the case.
The investigation commenced after officers located Mark Lane deceased in the 100 block of Snipes Street on October 30th. According to the police department, the successful identification of suspects Keyondez Brown and Kayla Boone was made possible through the collaborative efforts of the department’s investigative unit, the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation, and the Special Investigation Unit.
Both suspects were taken into custody on Sunday. Brown faces charges of murder in relation to Lane’s death, while Boone is charged as an accessory after the fact. Currently, both individuals are being held in the Hertford County jail without bond, with their initial court appearance scheduled for today.
