Zackary Evan Rieken Obituary, Death; – Charlotte-Mecklenburg police have confirmed the identity of the 18-year-old who was fatally shot in south Charlotte on Friday night and have charged a juvenile with murder. The incident occurred on October 25 on James Blakeney Avenue. Authorities report that 18-year-old Zackary Evan Rieken was shot and killed while seated in a vehicle.
A Ring doorbell camera recorded the event, capturing Rieken in the driver’s seat. The footage includes the sound of gunfire, followed by the sight of at least four individuals fleeing to another vehicle. Subsequently, Rieken’s car is observed colliding with a nearby tree.
